You know what, I have to say Windows 7 is a lot better than XP, which was fathoms better than NT/2000/95.
I never liked Vista (maybe because the upgrade was so rocky on corporate machines).
But Windows 7 is an example of where an enhanced interface, and speedier operations (300% faster Search) can make the difference. I’ve not been much of an Apple user in recent years, so for me it’s really Windows.
The best bit has been search, which as simple as it sounds changes the life of an analyst searching for bits and pieces of metrics on crammed drives. No more going folder by folder. It’s literally seconds, on any good Intel processor.
I accept the Linux argument, but for now it’s been great to upgrade from Windows XP to Windows 7.
So corporate people, definite time to upgrade to Windows 7.
